The Tasting Room is open each weekend at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake VillageSip, swirl and socialize at The Tasting Room, a contemporary wine tasting space located at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California. The Tasting Room celebrates the recent Malibu Coast AVA designation with tastes from Malibu Family Wines and other wineries from throughout Malibu Coast and California.

Located just a few minutes from the Hotel nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Family Wines will be featured as The Tasting Room’s resident winery and will pour a variety of award-winning Semler and Saddlerock wines. The Tasting Room will also feature a rotating guest winery, starting with a selection of Napa Valley wines from Joseph Phelps Vineyards, including their highly coveted “Insignia” red blend.

Small bites including a local cheese plate, house-made truffles and spiced nut selection will be served to compliment wine flights and wine by the glass. Bottles of wine are also available for guests to enjoy at home or for consumption in one of the Hotel’s multiple dining outlets.

Experienced and novice cooks alike will be inspired by the delicious, healthy, whole foods prepared in our elegant, state-of-the-art teaching kitchen and organic vegetable garden. Join us for a transformative two-hour food experience that emphasizes a healthy lifestyle through nutritious, gourmet cooking. Led by a Registered Dietitian-Chef, these interactive classes offer practical strategies for preparing and enjoying simple, yet fabulous meals that can improve health and increase longevity. At the end of the class, you will sit down to enjoy this extraordinary meal.

Heirloom Farming Experience


 Experience the extraordinary this summer with our immersive organic farming package at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California. Part of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts’ international Extraordinary Experiences campaign, Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village has created a distinctive Heirloom Farming Experience for gardening enthusiasts visiting the Hotel’s sunny Conejo Valley destination.

Inspired by California’s Central Valley, located just a few miles north of the Hotel, the package  features an interactive, private tour with Tim Philen of Philen Pharms, one of the few organic heirloom farms in the country, for a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience. Philen Pharms specializes in rare American heirloom produce, grown from centuries-old grafted trees that have maintained their genealogical integrity and can be traced back to royal gardens in Asia and Europe. A few of Philen’s most popular fruits include exact replicas of George Washington’s apples and Thomas Jefferson’s pears.Philen2

Sip back and relax, as we pair wine with wellness in our summer Wine Wednesday series at California Health & Longevity Institute, located at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. Led by a registered dietitian, enjoy a menu of delicious and nutritious recipes perfectly paired with wine selections from local tasting rooms and vineyards.

Enjoy a different menu of savory small plates and wine pairing menu at each of the three events, and meet the winemakers from local wineries, who will also be available for a brief Q&A immediately following the event.

Admission to the event series is $150 per person and includes entry to all three of the Wine Wednesday events, July through September. Single-event admission is available at $60 per person. All Wine Wednesday events run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Wholesome, nutritious ingredients, flavorful herbs and seasonal produce come together in our all-new Sustained Living menus, featuring a selection of wellness-inspired dishes created by Director of Nutrition Paulette Lambert, R.D., CDE of California Health & Longevity Institute and Executive Chef Alexander La Motte of Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. 

The new menus are based on California Health & Longevity Institute’s nutrition philosophy of eating a plant-based diet consisting of more whole grains, high fiber carbohydrates and lean protein to maintain a healthy lifestyle and reduce the overall risk of chronic illnesses including heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Sustained Living menu items are currently available on the breakfast and lunch menus in The Lobby Lounge and will be added to The Spa and In-Room Dining menus later this summer. Sustained Living breakfast options include Ancient Grain Porridge with barley, quinoa, steel cut oats, non-fat Greek yogurt, peaches and pecans (370 calories); and 9 Grain French Toast with wild blueberry compote and assorted berries (370 calories). Lunch dishes feature Mushroom and Kale Calzone with goat milk ricotta, kale pesto, eggplant, squash, whole grain crust, and a baby kale salad (520 calories); Quinoa and Heirloom Beans with Mohr Fry Calypso beans, garden beets, local peas, cotija cheese, and green harissa (465 calories); and Chilled Thai Coconut Curry Carrot Soup with a pine nut and citrus relish (120 calories).
