Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is excited to introduce a new menu of Wellness Mocktails, carefully crafted by our mixologists with ingredients picked from our very own organic garden. These mocktails are available throughout the Hotel’s bars and restaurants, including Lobby Lounge, ONYX and In-Room Dining. Guests can choose from drinks such as Detox, Rejuvenate, Relax and Digestif, depending on their specific needs.
We invite you to try each Wellness Mocktail at the Hotel, but if you can’t wait to take a taste, here is our Detox recipe for you to try at home. Cheers!
1 tbsp simple syrup infused with sliced fennel
3-4 oz grapefruit juice
Juice of half orange
2 oz soda
Garnish with fennel frond and 2-3 star anise
(For a little extra kick add Gin!)
Fennel Infused Simple Syrup:
Pour equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan. Heat the ingredients until dissolved. Stir the simple syrup and place the saucepan over medium heat. By the time the edges start to simmer the liquid should be completely clear, not cloudy. Immediately remove from the heat source. Add sliced fennel to the syrup right as it comes off the burner and cover to allow the simple syrup to steep. Once the simple syrup is cool, remove the fennel with a strainer or spoon.
In a shaker, combine infused simple syrup, grapefruit juice, orange juice and soda. Stir with a long spoon and pour mocktail into a rock glass over ice.
Garnish with a fennel frond and a few star anise.
