Say WHAAAAT? That was our first, and very understandable, reaction to this sensational spread of images from Jasmin and Eliot’s absolutely ah-mazing wedding day.

After we were done rubbing our eyes in disbelief like cartoon characters, we managed to take in the divine details that made this big day so special. First of all, the unfathomably beautiful venue,  Four Seasons Westlake Village, which came with its own waterfall, the perfect setting for a shabbat pre-wedding celebration. No wonder they made a weekend out of it!

The waterfall was matched only by the epic, cascading floral arrangements, tumbling from tables, adorning the tipi-inspired chuppah – we’ve never seen anything quite like it, so you’d be forgiven for Pinning so fast your fingers start smoking a little.

Everything about this boho-beautiful big day was perfectly matched with the theme – the naked cake, the sweet, contemporary stationery, the aisle made from layered vintage rugs. There was not a décor item out of place.

Beautiful bride, Jasmin, looked ridiculously incredible in her truly unique, showstopping Alon Livné beaded dress, and in her first-look gown, a really original photoshoot idea that we simply adore.

Speaking of photography, this stunner of a wedding was shot by an absolute photography legend, Jessica Claire, whose work we are thrilled and honored to feature on the blog. A wedding this luxe deserves nothing less than a photographer who can do it justice, and Jessica Claire did it justice and then some. We are in love!

We’ll hand you over to Jasmin for all of the details about how her and Eliot’s special day came together. Prepare yourselves for incoming wedding pretty – it’s a little overwhelming!

A SHABBAT DINNER BY THE WATERFALL

Jasmin, the bride: We got married at the Four Seasons Westlake VillageIt was the first place we visited, and the last place we circled back to after looking at over 10 venues.

I am from New York, and Eliot is from Orange Country, so we wanted a destination that was comfortable for our guests for the entire weekend. We threw a big shabbat dinner inside/outside by the waterfall, and Sunday brunch at the venue outside by the garden terrace.

A BOHO BEAUTIFUL THEME

We took the venue’s best characteristics and embellished on them in a way that reflected us most. We are both very ‘go with the flow’ type people, and thought the outdoor scenery with the waterfalls, trees and mountains was already a theme so we went with that vibe and went a little boho with it.

We used multiple vintage rugs which were staggered to create the illusion of a long aisle, as for the chuppah we worked with the florist to create a tipi look.

We went with a fun and vibrant summer color theme for the flowers. Lots of soft pale colors with some hints of contrast. We used a wedding planner, Maryam from Delicate Details.

BESPOKE INVITATIONS

Eliot’s cousin, Samira, is in the invitation business so that was a no brainer – we went with her and essentially created our invites from scratch. We wanted them extremely simple, soft and elegant.

Samira loved the look, and had done nothing like it in the past, so it was fun to be out of the box with her.

A GO-TO HAIR STYLIST

Hair was easy for me, I went to my friend, Sylvia Heranchian, who I met years ago when getting my hair done for a cousin’s wedding when I was in town. From there on out, she became my go-to for all my hair needs whenever I was in LA.

As for makeup, I had a hard time choosing someone. I must have had four different trials before Sylvia said “I know the natural look you are going for” and introduced me to Becca, who was awesome and spot on!

AN ALON LIVNÉ BEADED GOWN

My dress was from Saks Beverly Hills, and the designer was Alon Livné.

I probably looked all over NY and Los Angeles. Along the journey, I fell in love with these two dresses by Alon Livné but knew my search wasn’t over, I told the ladies that I will be looking in Los Angeles as well – they were super helpful, and sent the dresses to Saks LA and booked me an appointment within days so I could try on the dresses and compare them to what they carry.

While I was there, I saw another dress by the same designer, and knew it was the one. All of Alon Livné’s dresses were all so detailed and beaded – not a look I thought I’d like, but it was quite the journey to get there.

UNDERSTATED ACCESSORIES

I also got my veil from Saks. I went extremely simple on it, as I wanted my dress to steal the show. I put on simple studs and a necklace. My dress was so elaborate that I didn’t want to take anything away from it.

ROMANTIC STATEMENT SHOES

Shoes were the easiest part for me. I saw a pair of silver crushed velvet Gianvito Rossi shoes and had to have them. They were perfect and open toe and had a little lace up – romantic, statement heels.

THE HANDSOME GROOM

Eliot wore a Theory tux and Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, YSL bowtie, and Hermes cufflinks.

KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY

We just had our immediate family walk down the aisle. We both have a brother and sister respectively, so they were basically our bridal party. For my sister and Eliot’s sister, there were no limits. We just wanted them to be happy and comfortable.

A SENSATIONAL CEREMONY ENTRANCE

I walked down the aisle to my all time favorite song, Jubel by Klingande. I had a special entrance down the staircase, as everyone else walked down from the main level. We had the spotlights shoot towards the staircase, and the music start. We had a live sax player start out and as he played, I walked down the aisle.

It was mind-blowing and chilling at the same time. I loved every moment of it.

AN ARTISTIC KETUBAH

The ketubah was signed a few months prior to the wedding. Eliot’s mom threw us a beautiful party at their house in Orange County. We had Eliot’s childhood Cantor conduct it. The ketubah we chose was a Rothko-inspired art, which is very abstract, yet simple. Every time we see it, it looks like art, yet it’s so special because it’s our ketubah.

AN EASY FIRST-DANCE CHOICE

For our first dance, we chose Betty Who’s version of I Love You Always Forever.

This song was chosen the moment we got engaged, when we put a little clip of us and had this song playing in the background. It felt very ‘us’ and some of the lyrics were spot on for our relationship! We took dance classes nearby the whole process was really fun.

OUR FABULOUS PHOTOGRAPHER AND VIDEOGRAPHER

Our photographer was Jessica Claire, who was so creative, and so much fun to work with. She really was able to make the wedding day very personalized when we put in our requests. Like for the first-look photoshoot, we had Eliot come to the room and do shots of me in my robe.

A NON-STOP PARTY

We never stopped the party for food or speeches. We had the band play for a third of the night, and then had the DJ come on – at this point there were chicken nuggets, sliders and fries circling the dance floor by the caterers! It was a dream come true!
